went there for the first time last nite was kinda expecting something a bit special a, little dissapointed with the decor kind of 1995 greasy spoonesque with a small bar... the menu was a tad confusing in pricing structure where similiar higher grade establishements would be cheaper, for perhaps a similiar or bigger sized steak which puzzeled me a bit. there seemed to be no medioca steak on the menu which is my first cristicism. all other options on the menu seemed to tick "american belly buster restaraunt". which lets be honest is why you come here. i flicked through the man v food challenges which seemed like a fairly good idea to attract customers for a one off sort of thing but who long could that last realistically.
anyway on to my food i decided to plum for a burger as the steaks were either to big or small for my appetite at the time and share a platter starter of chicken wings, garlic muchrooms etc with a freind. to be honest the only comment i could come up with was its "alrite" as per my colleague also. the idea of the food was there but for me the taste just wasnt quite there, not something i can put my finger on but one good comment is that for a good two course meal for 2 and a drink £30 aint bad.
in reality however any chain of harvester etc could offer something similiar for maybe cheaper i know they wouldnt have the eating challenges but lets be fair your not going to have one of those every week.
