To me it all began with an old number of Schoner Whonen. These bright eccentric forms subdued in soft lights created a sea of comfortable blues, fiery reds, alternating vivid and cool, all in form of a sitting paradise. The Amoeba chair was created around 1970 for an installation on a boat. The idea was to fill the interior of the ship Lorelei and its three decks under the motto:
the house of tomorrow, this being a floating environment that sailed on the Rhine for four days and caused enough sensatory waves to last two lifetimes. The project was called Visiona II and the ultimate fantasy landscape. It is still considered today as one of the greatest design installations ever.
