Fig. 3 shows that the maximum torque (MH) values for
all three types of rubber increase as the chitosan loading
increases. The increment in the maximum torque values
indicates that the presence of fillers in the compounds
tends to reduce the mobility and flexibility of the macromolecular
chains of the rubber [23–26].
