Then, the produced CS–CA nanogel containing a hydrophilic
layer and a hydrophobic core was used to encapsulate (entrap) the
hydrophobic C. cyminum essential oils to achieve controlled release
of the oils in the fungal media. The encapsulation efficiency was
measured at 85% based on the optical density spectra of the essential
oils. The release kinetics of the CS–CA nanogel-encapsulated
