The capacity to produce enzymes which destroy the fungal
cell wall, such as chitinase and b-1,3-glucanase, was exhibited
in the yeasts Pichia anomala, Candida guilliermondii, and C. oleophila (Jijakli & Lepoivre 1998; Saligkarias et al. 2002). Another
putative action mode is the production of toxic volatile compounds, as observed in different Saccharomyces cerevisiae species
