we rarely got to see do any of those. The language barrier limited his performance and couldn’t do his talent any justice. I think if he were in Exo-K, he could have been positioned as Exo-K lead dancer and perhaps, lead rapper too. As for Sehun, I feel like his passion for dancing is great. I feel like because Kai’s presence is too huge (as a face/main dancer), Sehun seemed more overshadowed. I really think that had Sehun been Exo-M lead dancer instead of Luhan, he would have been more confident because Lay would have not overpowered him as much. As much as I love Luhan and believe in his dancing talent, I think that he should not have been Exo-M lead dancer because it made others think that he is too overexposed. He has too many roles at hand. Similarly, Kai would not have been the lead rapper, which I think is a great idea. Also, Sehun’s popularity in China is no joke. He is also close to M members so it doesn’t really take away the bond between the members. On the other hand, Xiumin is also close to DO and Suho. Also, wouldn’t it have been smart to switch Xiumin and Sehun because Xiumin is close to Luhan and Sehun is close to Kai? I mean, SM wanted to create an image of K/M being tight but CheMin, XiuHan and SeKai stick just as well as HunHan. Another reason is that both Xiumin and Sehun are quiet members so switching them don’t make much difference during interviews. However, I think that if Xiumin got to speak in Korean, he wouldn’t have hold himself back so much. Sehun, on the other hand, generally doesn’t speak much in interviews. So being in a Korean sub unit doesn’t really make a difference for him. Anyway, it’s just my two cents.
