Start strong with these 5 best practices
Amazon Seller,
Whether you’re an ecommerce veteran, fledgling entrepreneur, or productive hobbyist, here are a few best practices that apply to most successful sellers. We want to share these field-tested tactics to help your Amazon selling venture start strong.
1 Provide accurate product data
Buyers expect to get their item exactly as described. Use standard identifiers (UPC/EAN/ISBN), and make sure the product description is clear, helpful, and correct. Learn more about Product Detail Pages.
2 Check for orders daily
You’ll get an email as soon as a customer places an order, but these notifications can get lost in spam. Check for new orders daily on Seller Central by using the Manage Orders tool.
3 Confirm shipments
Your customers won’t be charged until you confirm shipment. Ship your products and seal the deal as soon as possible—at least within two business days. What if you're away on vacation?
4 Get good feedback
Earn positive feedback by providing great customer service, accurate product descriptions, fast delivery, and a gracious return policy. Keep an eye on your seller performance metrics to gauge how you're doing.
5 Ask for help
Amazon is a big place, but you don’t have to go it alone. On Seller Central you’ll find pages of help articles, seller discussion forums, and the Seller Services contact form.
Of course, in order to sell on Amazon you'll have to list products. Watch the Seller University series about adding products to master the process in just a few minutes.
