different farms, chosen to represent the variability of the breeding conditions
of the PDO chain,which routinely supply pigs for the production
of San Daniele Ham (San Daniele, Italy). Two industrial lines were
produced with Goland C21 (GOLAND) or Danline HD (DANBRED)
boars and their own selected lines of sows. Two traditional hybrids
were obtained by using Italian Duroc (ID) or Large White (LW) boars
