The present project investigated Preparation and characterization of Co–Cu–ZrO2 nanomaterials and their catalytic activity in CO2 methanation. Metal composition of Co-Cu-ZrO2 are different. Using reverse co-precipitation method to prepare catalysts. Using X-ray fluorescence (XRF),
X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2-physisorption and hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR) in analyze the properties of the catalyst. The study found that Co-ZrO2 as the best catalyst in the process of methane. The addition of Cu makes Co-ZrO2 decreased, the temperature of Co-ZrO2 are dropped and adjust the inter-dispersion of mixed metal oxides. The Co-Cu-ZrO2 catalysts in the ratio of 20:40:40 CH4 make up 58% at 300 °C and the pressure 3 MPa. The catalysts are stable at 0.6% of the decline of the initial.
