KIJVO showed its appreciation for its volunteers in several ways. The Scat Sheet, a bimonthly newsletter, highlighted volunteer accomplishments and was sent to all vol¬unteers. Each issue featured a cover story and photograph of two or three volunteers. The Scat Sheet also listed upcoming volunteer opportunities and solicited help, printed letters from volunteers temporarily out of the Denver area, and offered general reminders relevant to the group. Volunteers were also recognized at an annual party, replete with food, drink, and music. The resource room was available for use by volun¬teers and paid staff alike. It contained books, KUVO archives, a computer, and audio¬visual equipment. KUVO also rewarded volunteers with pins and other memorabilia.
