Leading Inditex brand Zara is presenting a new architectural and interior concept for its store in the Big Apple, designed by architect Elsa Urquijo.
Zara’s eighth shop in New York is at number 666, on the city’s legendary Fifth Avenue. Jeweller Tiffany’s, Japanese fashion chain Uniqlo and St Patrick’s Cathedral all rub shoulders with this unique space, intended to be “a boutique of boutiques”.
The open-plan interior features natural, clean-cut lines and covers an area of more than 3,000sqm to accommodate 450 employees. The shop’s updated image is based on the principles of beauty, clarity, practicality and sustainability. The emphasis is on simplicity and on bringing customers into direct contact with the fashion products around them.
