Fig.10: Land use in 2000 used for sericulture. However, the owners now use them for the
tourism business. Some of the houses have been converted into
small private museums, while others are used for
accommodation. Fig. 12 is a “Kanda house,” which opened 6
years ago. This is a small family-run museum. The family
displays the many antiques that it possesses and explains to
tourists how the tools were used in ancient times.
