The current research examines two research agenda related to
employees’ overall perception of HR practice effectiveness. The first is related
to the determinant of overall perception, and specifically, examines whether
company HR practices as a whole, or an HR bundle measured at the
company level, are associated with employees’ overall perception measured
at the individual level. The second research agenda examines the effects of
overall perception on organizational commitment and procedural justice.
Taking into consideration previous findings that procedural justice is influenced
by management practices, and, in turn, increases employees’ commitment
to organizations (Folger & Konovsky, 1989; McFarlin & Sweeney,
1992), the current research examines the mediation process of procedural
justice in the relationship between overall perception and organizational
commitment. The research frame is shown in Figure 1.
