Once again, the team coach can help by providing a framework
around which the team can build its dialogue on the management
of communication. One such framework identifies three levels of
team interaction, each of which may need a separate approach in
terms of frequency, timing, style and process:
u Strategic communication is about planning ahead. It requires
the team to come together at infrequent but regular intervals to
assess whether what it is doing and intends to do still fits the
environment in which it operates. It also requires ongoing ad
hoc dialogue in between, to reach agreement and understanding
about minor changes of direction.
