DAILY CUSTOMER PREPERATION
1. All instructors are to be at the dive shop no later than 07:30 every day.
2. Upon arriving at the dive shop the instructor is to confirm what customers are going diving today and what equipment will be needed for the day.
3. All second dive tanks are to be checked for pressure and put out near the end of the sidewalk.
4. Emergency oxygen tank and regulator, spare set of gear, extra weights and beach mats are to be put out near the end of the sidewalk.
5. All instructors gear and any special equipment for teaching are to be put out by the end of the sidewalk. Instructors must have all of the personal equipment that they will need for the day ready before 08:30 every day.
6. Customers are to arrive at 08:30 and the instructors must be completely ready to receive them and help them to set up their gear.
7. All customers gear should be prepared before they arrive. If the customers book at the sunset beach office then their equipment will have already been chosen and put into the bins. If they sign up at the walking street location then the staff member should estimate the customers’ sizes so that the instructors can have some of their gear already picked out.
8. Each bin is marked with a number and this number corresponds to the number that the customer is listed on the daily dive sheet.
9. The instructors are to take the equipment out of the bins and lay it out in order in the dive prep area. Each set of gear shall be placed beside a full tank.
10. When the customers arrive the instructor will identify them and take them to their equipment. All divers except DSD students are to assemble their own equipment and check it for safety. That includes having all divers check for functioning mouthpieces, full tank, SPG, BCD, primary and secondary operation and proper fit of mask, fins, wet suit and weight belts.
11. Once the divers have their equipment checked then they are to move the equipment to the boat. All divers except DSD are responsible for putting their own equipment onto the boat. Only people who are physically challenged are to be exempted from this.
12. The instructor is to check that all equipment and food and water are on the boat and the boat is to depart at 09:00 daily. The only exception is on low tide days.
