I’m here to introduce the training for Diebold’s Code of Business Ethics. I hope you have taken
the time to read and study our Code, which is a direct extension of our core values – integrity,
collaboration, innovation, and knowledge. These values provide guiding principles we must keep in
mind in our day to day work. Integrity is extremely important to me. I expect every employee to follow
the Code because unethical behavior from just one employee at any level reflects poorly on the entire
company. Never bend the rules to meet a quota or increase the bottom line. The perceived rewards of
bending the rules, even in the slightest, are far outweighed by the consequences and could inflict longterm
damage to Diebold and yourself. Acting unethically is never worth it. Acting with integrity,
however, pays dividends in the long-term to you and Diebold. If you have any questions about the
ethics of a situation, please seek help. Our Code provides clear information on the resources available
to ask questions and report unethical conduct. You will not be penalized or retaliated against for
reporting unethical behavior, expressing your concerns, or asking questions. Retaliation is strictly
prohibited at Diebold and is itself a violation of our Code. Learn from this training. Follow up with
managers, the compliance team, or any other Diebold resource if you have questions. Discuss the Code
and its impact on your work with your fellow employees. Remember, you are Diebold to our business
partners and our communities. Thank you for your time and enjoy the training
