3.1. Morphological Characterization of the Collected Mushrooms
A total number of ten distinct morphological groups of wild edible mushrooms were found to be sold extensively in the traditional markets and growing wild in the respective forests from which they were collected for the markets. The preliminary identification of these wild edible mushrooms was based on visual observation of the phenotypic characters and morphology of the fruiting bodies and spores (Table 1).
