I haven’t used this extensively (as I would if I was testing a lip balm’s healing/hydrating properties), though I have previously reviewed the original. This is more of a quick review to show how the newest tinted version looks. I think those who were disappointed by the subtle nature of the Champagne version will find this more palatable, as it produces a very noticeable reddish tint to lips. It will be nice for those who have good luck with this formula who want a little more color during the day but need the ultra-hydrating properties of the original. The formula is thicker and heavier, fairly tacky, and the color seems to fade faster than the feel of the balm, where the color seems to disappear after three to four hours, the balm lingers for five to six with some lingering as long as eight hours. The past iterations of this formula have been hydrating for me, and I found this one to feel much like those. The only critique I really have is that it doesn’t always look completely even applied, which is often the nature of sheer, but vibrant, shades like this.
