t is concluded that both M/E and W enhance evaporative cooling compared CON, but M/E causes cooler sensations and a heat storage response, both of which are likely mediated by menthol. Future research might assess the efficacy of an ethanol- only solution on work capacity and performance in participants experiencing compensable and uncompensable heat gain, and possible undesirable implications arising from the menthol- mediated disassociation between actual and perceived body temperature.
