- Early learning – continuous and immediate reinforcement desirable.
With early learners (e.g. those that are new to the activity or sport) reinforcement
should be continuous and immediate because they are not yet perhaps somatic ally
aware of their actions, nor do they have clear understanding of what is required or
correct.
- Learned skill – intermittent and immediate reinforcement desirable.
You don’t have to tell an experienced pitcher that they followed through well on
each pitch. But when you do reward it, be sure to reward it immediately after it has
been done.
