Good Morning Jumpon
I have spoken to Marcus and there appears to be confusion regarding what is happening on site and your e-mail.
Marcus mentioned that you are expecting this work to be completed in a 14 day window – this is not an achievable target – Marcus is working in the 27 day window that I set, seeing as the dissembly is not being carried out under ideal workshop conditions. If the job is completed earlier than 27 day that will be great, however please do not expect this work to be completed in less time – if the job is hurried mistakes can be made or worse someone could get hurt. You must also take into consideration that the weather could also shut down operation and extend the job beyond 27 days.
As mentioned in earlier e-mail the environmental conditions working outside will play a big factor – currently the temperature and Humidity in the parking lot does not allow for more than a 8 hours day without the possibility of heat exhaustion – even the personnel provided by PTT are suffering from the localized heat from the concrete.
The Yard is very small and equipment is having to be moved to get space and this takes time – the PTT crew are pressure washing all the grease off the connectors prior and after strip down – which is helping a lot.
As for the 4-5 hours there are only a couple of actual work day that were 5 hours, this was where no further work could be carried out without moving equipment. Marcus and Adolph work to point of task completion – it is not a good practice during referb operations to begin a task that cannot not be completed before the completion of the work day.
Marcus and Adolph are arriving on site between 8am and 8.15am depending on traffic and then begin work.
5-6 - 2.5 hrs
5-7 - 7.7 hrs
5-8 - 7.5 hrs
5-9 - 8.0 hrs
5-10 - 5.0 hrs
5-11 - 8.5 hrs
5-12 - 7.5 hrs
5-13 - 5.5 hrs
Please feel free to get with Marcus in the morning and discuss the activity for the day and what the expected stop point will be. According to Marcus they are ahead of their projected schedule.
Current work
All clamps stripped – One ready for assembly
All MAF stripped and prepared for cleaning and inspection.
No PEC stripped – space needs to be created prior to this operation.
From the what I am seeing and the limits of the work space, they are making good progress for 7 days. Are goal is to return the connectors to your EPRS inventory in a condition as near new as possible.
Marcus has inventoried the seals and everything that is on the packing list 9170-23770 has been account for in the box – can you please list what is missing.
The damaged seals are being investigated – We will get back with on this issues once we have an answer.
