Asarnhabucha is the yearly celebration of the first preaching of Budda of saranath which falls on the full moon of the eighth lunar month.
The Buddhists make merid to remind them of the good grace of Lord Buddha.
The next day is beginning of the Buddhist lent we call it "kao Pun Sa" the monks will stay at the temple during 3 months.
Before this day the Buddhists will make a big candle and decorate it with beautiful flowers.
They will walk in procession of the big candle to the temple and then give it to the monks the Buddhists lent is imporant for Buddhists because it is the time for them to do good and avoidevil.
