The theory of “Due Care” to customers which involve the product’s design, choice of
materials, production, quality control, packaging and labeling and warnings, and
product recall. Note that this ethical theory can be defended by the ethics of care, or as
rule utilitarianism, or a duty as defined in deontology. The student should illustrate
each aspect of the “Due Care” of products in details, i.e. design, production, and
information (i.e. labels, notices, and instructions on the product of all potential
dangers).
