Shaolin monk has the ability to ‘run on water’
A #Shaolin monk from Quanzhou, Fujian Province who specialized in martial arts performed one of his stunning feats: running 118 meters straight on floating wooden boards on the water.
The move bears a striking resemblance to the traditional Chinese kung fu skill – #Qinggong, a gravity-defying technique, which allows #kungfu masters to have the ability to glide on water surface or scale high walls.
Legend says that the technique is only mastered by a very small number of people, whose kung fu skills are truly exceptional.
Although these are only exaggerated depictions of Chinese martial arts, people like the Shaolin monk Shi Liliang, never gave up efforts to emulate his predecessors.
He created this set-up in 2005, and has been practicing ever since. After numerous failed attempts, he finally managed to display this lost feat in front of cameras last Sunday.
