I have just arrived Bangkok and want to tell you how much I enjoy the first week of my summer vacation. I'll be staying here till next week.
There's so much to do and see in a large city like Bangkok. there are so many exciting places to visit and interesting people to meet.
Here I can favor both Eastern and Western cultures, and customs. It's often hard to choose between a typical Thai Boxing match or a modern Jazz concert. It's not easy to decide between a typical Thai meal or a familiar Western one.
Yesterday afternoon, I strolled through Ratchaprasong and Pratoo-nam, the largest shopping centres of Bangkok. There's such a variety of national and international gift that most of time I couldn't decide what to buy.
I enjoy living in a wonderful city like Bangkok. It's bright and cheerful and crowded with excitement.
Tomorrow, two Thai friends will take me to visit Pattaya, the most beautiful beach on the east coast, about 200 kilometres from Bangkok.
According to the programme, I'll leave for Phuket next Wednesday. There I'll write again. Meanwhile, my very best wishes to everyone, especially to Agness and Ted.
