In this paper, the multiband fractal ring antenna fed by capacitive coupling is presented.
The Minkowski fractal model will be used to generate the fractal ring antenna for
reducing the antenna size.
Moreover, the impedance bandwidth of antenna will be enhanced by feeding with capacitive coupling, resulting in the antenna operation for the application of WLAN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g (2.4 - 2.484 GHz and 5.15 - 5.35 GHz), WiMAX IEEE 802.16a (3.3 - 3.8
GHz), and IMT advance system or 4th generation (4G) mobile communication system (3.4 - 4.2 GHz).
Furthermore, the characteristics of the multi band fractal ring antenna will be
verified by simulationusing the full wave method of moments(MOM) software package from IE3D.
The fabricated antenna prototype will be experimented and performed.
