The goal of this summary is to provide a chronological review of key events,
activities, development and challenges faced by the country and the Mission in
the ten years af ter Dayton. However, this summary will place in context the work
of the thousands of people, both from this country and dozens of other states,
as they sought to rebuild what had been destroyed, demonstrating that the
option of peace and diplomacy is an alternative that deserves to be suppor ted.
