Next are two digits that represent the respective percentages of these two elements,
rounded off to whole numbers. Following these digits is a serial letter that indicates
some variation in composition or minor alloying constituents or impurities. The temper
designations at the end are identical with those used with aluminum (Appendix
C-12). For example, alloy AZ31B-H24 contains 3 percent aluminum, 1 percent zinc,
and is strain-hardened.
