In chain topology, the link of lower-level RF units is disconnected. The services carried on lower-level RF units are disrupted. The services of the peer mode are interrupted when the following conditions are met:
The RF units use CPRI MUX.
The local mode provides the aggregation function.
The faulty port provides the aggregation function.
In ring topology, the reliability of the link decreases. In this case, the active link of lower-level RF units is switched over to the standby link. In the case of a hot ring, the ongoing services are not affected. In the case of a cold ring, the ongoing services are disrupted temporarily.
