A Fractional Order Dynamic Model of Agriculture,
Industry and Ecosystem
Abstract : In this research, we modify the mathematical model which describe the
interaction of agriculture, industry and the ecosystem proposed by M. Solomonovich et al.,
which consists of three nonlinear ordinary differential equations. In our modification we
include fractional–order derivative in the model. Calculation of fractional derivative is
done by using Grunwald-Letkinov definition. The behavior of the model is investigated
under the minimal level of ecospheric wealth and compares with the behavior of original
model for the same set of parameters. We find that a small change in the order of derivative
of the model can reduce the amplitude of fluctuation in agriculture, and industry wealth.
