Chief Executive
I founded a health and social care company, Prime Care, which delivered health and social care services to adults and older people in partnership with local authorities and NHS trusts in England.
As Managing Director I led more than 1,000 people over a decade in providing this multi award-winning community-based service; the first in the country to achieve Investors in People Gold accreditation.
I started my career as a police officer and then spent 10 years directing Europe’s leading risk management consultancy, resolving sensitive operational situations around the world for multi-national companies, government departments and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs).
I am a Director of the government-backed Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), where I lead on EU social cohesion programmes, rural portfolio and third sector partnerships. I’m in my seventh year as a Board Member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, where I have been Vice Chair since 2012. More recently, I enjoyed being part of the acclaimed national Leadership for Empowered and Healthy Communities programme.
When I am in my 80s I want to be able to continue to walk for miles and hear, see, feel and recognise the changing seasons around me.
