Introduction before video:
13 October 2016... the day that the Kingdom of Thailand lost her most beloved King.
Hundreds of thousands of heart-broken Thais gathered at Sanam Luang to pay respects to their Royal Father.
Many were from the provinces and have travelled far to come here.
Even though we were in sorrow ourselves, we want to do good deeds to honour our King.
We pooled our resources and went to Tesco
We bought drinks, snacks, herbal inhalers, paracetamol, and so on...
Here are some snack and cakes...
more snacks, drinks and trash bags, ...
Here we were loading the goods to our cars... in all, 4 sedan cars were fully loaded.
Back in our room, we re=packed the snacks into smaller packets for easier distribution to the crowds.
At Sanam Luang, we unloaded some drinks and snacks.
We were given a stall by the authorities and we arranged our things.
We set up a table for drinks and we prepared iced sweet drinks for the crowds.
We also distribute cold drinking water as the weather is hot.
Crowds lining up for the snacks and drinks...
We replenish the drinks again from the ice-box...
We continue to serve at our stall...
It was hot and the crowds were long, but we felt happy that we were able to serve...
We also prepared black ribbons to be distributed free to the mourners.
Due to the sudden increase in demand for black clothing, the market was out of stock for a few days.
We even made some of the ribbons ourselves.
The black ribbons were very quickly taken up by the mourners.
It was a hot and long day at Sanam Luang.
At the end of the day, we were tired, but in our hearts we felt joy that we can help.
We want continue to do good deeds for our Father... tam dee puea por...
