Centre in Kuala Lumpur (set up primarily to reduce vice and upgrade Muslim morality
instead of regulating halal in a systematic manner) to ask for halal certification.
As a ‘human company’ with ‘social responsibility’, Nestlé started to produce halal
seriously on a global scale. In 1997, the company implemented a plan that would give
customers ‘global access’ to halal.
