These days you can look through the pages of a catalog, shop on-line, and buy anything you like on eBay. But nothing can beat actually going out, walking around the stores, and coming home with your shopping bags full. We asked three people to us where they love to go shopping

I live to shop and Paris is a shopper's dream. It offers everything from fashionable stores, full of people buying designer clothes, to local specialty stores that are much cheaper.
One of my favorite stores is the Guerlain perfume store on the champs-Elysees. I love to go there just to look at the beautiful interior of the building. I also love the markets, where you can find fantastic bargains if you arrive early in the morning.
And in Paris when I finish my shopping in the evening, I go straight to a fantastic French restaurant and order a bottle of the best wine.

Shopping in Tokyo isn't cheap but it's fun. Ginza is an area with a lot of little designer boutiques, where you can buy the Armani dress or Prada shoes that you've always wanted. However, if like me, you don't have much money, you can just go window-shopping. There's so much to look Tokyo can buy anything unusual. If you want a pair of pink leather boots, this is the place to go.

Shopping in New York City is great because I know I can buy good quality products more cheaply than in Tokyo, London, or Paris. Clothes, handbags, jewely, books, CDs, and DVDs are all a little bit more reasonable if you look around.
I love the delis, too. All big cities are very cosmopolitan now, but New York has something very real about it. If I buy a burrito, it's like I'm in Mexico, and I can buy fresh coffee beans from a plantation in Jamaica.
The best time to shop in New York, though, is Christmas. The window displays are just amazing
