As I noticed the soft light that illuminated his face and created a bright glare in his focused eyes, the man with the long face enthusiastically studied the subject on his screen. His long, thin face led my curious eyes to the small blue lamps that dimly lit the café. The thick, long string holding the lamp drifted down from the ceiling and led my eyes to the columns that held other dim lights. These columns led my eyes next to the large, rectangular, and historical windows that the lights reflected off of. Sunlight gleamed in and I realized that it was fairly windy outside when I noticed the shaky branches. I couldn’t hear the wind, but I could hear the faint tap of keyboards. I could hear Bob Marley chanting Buffalo Soldier in the back round. I could hear the murmur of people talking, connecting, and mingling together. I could hear the thunderous noise of the blender, mixing Frappuccinos for the customers. This led me to notice the faint and relaxing smell of freshly ground coffee beans and chocolate. I tasted my Frappuccino and crushed to chocolate ships between my teeth. When I left, I slid across the smooth marble tile and made a prominent exit. The sense of intense brainpower and orientation anxiety was gone, but I did miss the calm environment this College Starbucks provided.
