The decorations on the bot show fine workmanship. There is fluidity in the designs and the judicious use of colors against the white marble walls creates a pleasing effect of serenity.
The marble used in the bot decorations is Carrara marble imported from Italy.
1. The boundary walls. There are boundary walls only for the front part of the bot, for the back part is enclosed by the gallery that extend from the two sides, or 'wings', of the bot
2) Marker stones. Whereas in most temples the marker stones are placed round the bot and are usually encased in individual houses, the marker stones of Wat Benchamabophit are in the form of two posts with lotus bud tops placed at the two front corners of the boundary walls and two stone slabs inscribed with the Wheels of Dhamma placed in the enclosed terrace at the back of the bot.
