1. Associates shall not obtain trade secrets of third parties through improper means, or use or disclose such trade secrets in a manner not permitted by the third party.
2. In cases where trade secrets of a third party are disclosed to Associates, Associates shall confirm that the disclosing person is legally authorized to make such disclosure. Associates shall obtain approval from their manager prior to receiving such disclosures.
3. In cases where trade secrets of a third party are disclosed to Associates, Associates shall take
appropriate steps to protect such trade secrets from leakage in the manner specified by the third party, assign a corresponding secrecy category, and manage the trade secrets as confidential information.
4. In cases where Associates will disclose or use the trade secrets of a third party for a purpose other than those to which the third party agreed, Associates shall obtain prior approval from the third party.
5. Associates shall not request disclosure of the trade secrets of third parties from former associates of such third party, and shall not accept such information if it is offered.
