The official process model is an output of the planning where the vision has been
transformed into the joint agreed model. The Official process is characterized by publicity. It
is usually released by the main stakeholder of the process. The publication of the model is
preceded by its approval in the interest groups in question. The role of the official model is
to function as a common process model which is common to all the actors. We don’t consider
how the official model is created but we suppose that an important success factor is the
involvement of actors in process design. Knowledge and experience increase the ability of an
actor to utilize the process model in practice.
