My name is xxxxxxxx. My nickname is xxx, and I have two older sisters, one older brother, and one younger brother, so this making me the fourthchild in my family of seven. I come from Chiang Rai, which is in the northern part of Thailand.
I am from the Akhahilltribe, which is an indigenous hill tribe that lives in small villages at high altitudes in the mountains of Chiang Rai. The local school in my village didn’t have enough teachers. However, I tried to study by myself because I loved to study; I think that it was so excited to gain new knowledge.
I am a Christian and I always participate in the Christian activities such as going to church, praying, even to a church service as well as Christian fun activities with children. I used to train at the Christian leadership training program and I always get selected to be a leader to lead those activities.
After I finished my high school, I had an opportunity to work with the Christian organization. It is an organization that help to protect children who vulnerable, poor and at risk. I stayed at the organization and took care of 7 children aged between 2 – 12 years old. My responsibilities weregetting them ready for school and helping them with their homework, preparing meal for them as well as putting them to bed. During the day time, I had to stay with children under 4 years old who didn’t attend the school yet. I always played games, sang a song, read to them and taught them to read an easy book. On the weekend, I organized and took part in recreational indoor and outdoor activities with the children. For instance, taking them out to the waterfall or the park, visiting the public library and going to the public zoo. I had a great time during these 8 months with the children at the organization and then, I moved to work as a coordinator in the Human Resources Department. I always go back to visit the children and other colleagues at the organization.
I am now working at the foundation called “xxxxxxxxxx”, which is the foundation that helps train local leaders how to influence children to stay away from drugs, alcohol abuse and other destructive actions. I work as a motivational speaker and a trainer. My responsibilities are training local teachers how to use a powerful and fun children’s curriculum to continue motivating, educating and empowering the children to make positive choices and share experiences or tell stories that encourage and move children to stay away from drugs, alcohol and other harmful actions.
I can describe myself as cheerful, friendly, positive and open-minded. I think I will get a good experience from the Au pair program because I love working with children, I am always happy when I see an increase of their development progress as well as when children are healthy and happy. Furthermore, I love to learn new things. I would like to learn new culture and at the same time share my own culture. I would like to gain more experiences which I cannot find anywhere in Thailand. I am ready to be in the new environment and new traditions. I also enjoy traveling abroad and seeing the world.
I hope that you will feel my strong will to work with your family and become a part of your family. I’m very confident that I’ll be able to take a very good care of your children and I cannot wait to have fun with them!
