Hi Thomas,
From what you have described, it appears that the issue is caused due to the new driver update. Sometimes a new driver could be incompatible with other services and can cause such issues. You have mentioned that you have already tried rolling back the driver from the device properties but the issue persists. In this case, I would suggest you to try these steps and check:
Method 1:
First, I would suggest you to check the device status of the Bluetooth adapter in the device manager. If the hardware is not functioning normally or if there is a driver issue, windows will report it in the device status. Refer to these steps to check the device status of the Bluetooth adapter:
a) Press Windows key + X, select Device manager.
b) Expand the “Bluetooth” section to locate the Bluetooth adapter.
c) Check if there is a yellow exclamation mark or a red cross mark over it.
d) Right click on device and select properties.
e) In the General tab, check the device status.
Method 2:
If you couldn’t find any error in the device manager, then I would suggest you to reinstall the Bluetooth driver and check. First, visit the computer manufacturer’s website to download the latest Bluetooth adapter driver. Once you have saved the driver in the computer, follow these steps:
a) Press Windows key + X, select Device manager.
b) Expand the “Bluetooth” section and locate the Bluetooth adapter.
c) Right click the device and select “Properties”.
d) Click on the driver tab to check the current driver installed for that device.
e) Click on the uninstall button to uninstall that driver.
f) Now, install the new driver that you downloaded from the manufacturer’s website and check.
Try these steps and let us know the results. We’d be happy to help if you need any further assistance.
