On the surface, Harry Potter books seem to be living in the limelight-with millions of copies already sold, it is no wonder. However, behind the scenes a long debate has been brewing over these so-called “extraordinary” books. Many people strongly feel that Harry Potter books are a bad influence on younger generations and should not be taught in public schools. Yet, Harry Potter books can teach children positive values, inspire them to read more, and promote creativity. The positive aspects of Harry Potter books indisputably overshadow the negative aspects and should be allowed to be taught in public schools. With both sides equally adamant in their decision, where does that leave poor Harry Potter?
