Due to the possible different functional forms that may hold across the two versions of MarlinaLS used during the sample period, we separately estimate the main regression for each version. The descriptive statistics and regression results for these tests are reported in Tables 4 and 5. There are several features of these results which are worthy of note.
First,Table 4 shows that the student cohorts examined were of a similar demographic, with comparable percentages of females and international students. The results in Table 5 reflect the greater integration of the program, with an improvement in the explanatory power of the model across the two versions, with Adj. R2 increasing from 0.23 to 0.43.
Further, as expected, the results reported in Table 5 indicate student prior knowledge is a positive and significant determinant of the dependant variable across both versions.
