susceptible to freezing/thawing processes [1-3]. Cold shock
is the major reason for reduced motility after the freezing
thawing. It generally leads to swelling and the protuberance
of the acrosomal membrane and disruption or increased
permeability of the plasma membrane [4]. Because of that,
the use of frozen semen is limited by this unfavorable
condition. The irreversible damages can be reduced by using
proper extenders and cryoprotectant additives [5,6]. Egg
yolk (EY) has been successfully replaced by soybean lecithin
in extenders for cryopreservation of equine semen [7]. EY
