The feed intake (soya waste and Napier grass 363 and 116 g/d, respectively) and BW change (0 g/d) of the goats in Group D were recorded for 14 d. This feeding regimen was abandoned due to diarrhoea in the experimental goats that may have been linked to the diet. The intake of soya waste in the Group D diet was 363 g/d, which was calculated as 3.0% of BW. This amount was higher than that consumed by the goats in Groups B and C fed the diet containing 1.0 and 2.0% of soya waste, respectively. The feeding trial continued with Groups A, B and C from the beginning of October 2012 until 7 February 2013.
