ERP systems are designed to improve decision making by upgrading an
organization’s ability to generate timely and accurate information throughout the
enterprise with a consolidated view of all required information. ERP systems provide
data in a standardized and data format that is useful to the user (Somers et al., 2003).
They integrate data throughout the various departments of an organization, ensuring
data accuracy and provide comprehensive and up-to-date information (Law and Ngai,
2007; Wu and Wang, 2006). ERP systems can improve work efficiency by allowing
various employees to access data simultaneously and carry out their daily tasks (Jones
et al., 2008). User satisfaction with the system is considered a central key to the success
of ERP by Anjum (2011). He studied the correlation between user satisfaction and the
success of ERP in 228 companies. The results indicated that there is a strong
relationship between the two and that the user satisfaction is the core element in the
success of ERP applications.
