I was heading south on 33rd around 5:30, signaling a left turn on to Morris. Driver hit me from behind, messed up my bike. I am not injured in a serious way (meaning no head injury that I know of, no broken bones), but I am very sore, especially my neck and back. Going to the Doctor today.
I was a bit dazed when the officer was there, but I didn't remember that the driver was cited for following too closely or any other reason. I called PPB today, and they said something about not issuing a citation unless there was an intentional crime, and this was an accident. This seems wrong. I have been cited in the past as a driver for being in a multi-car accident where we all rear ended each other, and all were cited for following too closely. Also, isn't wreckless driving a crime?
