There is a direct relation between groundwater level and pumping rate. If an
amount of water is pumped out in less time, it causes more declination of groundwater
level. Higher per day abstraction to meet the irrigation water requirements
due to climate change during the peak dry season may cause further declination of
groundwater level. As water level declines, the rate of water the well can yield also
declines. Consequently, more energy will be required to sustain the yield of groundwater
