Students come and go from middle and high school classes hourly Don’t waste valuable time at the beginning of the semester trying to get them into the correct seats. To make the process of finding an assigned seat less daunting, consider using an index card taped to the corner of each desk. Before classes begin, write on the index cards the names of the students who will seated at each desk every hour. As students enter, instruct them to find their names on the index cards. Posting your seating chart outside the classroom door can also be a way for students to find their seats before entering the room.
