Obviously, It has seemed like a big issue about Chinese tourists in Thailand and Chiang Mai city. A few months ago, since the launch of ‘Lost in Thailand,’ a Chinese film producing in Chiang Mai, screened in China, Chinese people started to visit the city increasingly. Places are full and booked by Chinese people.

In fact, the more tourists come, the more profit the city can make. However, they do bring problems here with ridiculous complain about Chinese manner, behaviour or even culture respect, for example, driving behaviour, speaking out so loud, never queue up, and many more.
On the other hands, what do the Chinese tourists think about Chiang Mai and local people? Nobody knows, but I can guess that they will say “I don’t even know, who the hell cares?”

The problems are not easy to solve because the tourists do not know what they have done. They do not even tell their friends, families, acquaintances to improve or adjust their behaviour.’
It may be a good news that the Chinese government has given a tourist guidebook to Chinese tourists before departing the country in order to understand the culture.

Lastly, for the locals, please keep calm and be optimistic. Just think that they do not know anything about our country. If you see them doing something wrong, please tell them. Or perhaps, they are still learning to adjust themselves to learn Thai culture, but they do not have directions, who knows?
