5. Comparative performance evaluation of systems
Two measures of performance are selected to evaluate the MBS versus the traditional
maintenance system (these performance measures were considered by the management of
Johnson and Johnson as the primary areas for improvement, given some critical
operational issues encountered on the shop floor). The first one is the machines’
